A camera in every pocket response

How do you feel the popularity of cell phones embedded with high-quality cameras has changed the nature of photography?

With cell phones, photography has become an act of pulling out your phone and snap a quick picture, an in action picture, or a selfie. Before photography consisted of setting up your picture by choosing the setting, subjects, and photography style you wanted to evoke. Now that has become a thing of the past with the help of cell phones. At the same time cell phones have also broaden our culture between areas. With cameras in our phones we are able to let people feel that they are with us at all time. We can take a quick picture of what we are doing at the time and share it with our friends and family. While doing research the biggest thing I read was the capability of being able to share a daily lives with others, and how remarkable that was. I, also, learned while reading how journalism has become more true due to the fact we can take quick shots of things and prove they are creditable. Instead of just making a statement, we have pictures to prove it.

DIY Follow Up

I constructed a artsy filter, also know as a color filter. Constructing the accessory was extremely easy, so I would have to rate it a 1 in difficulty. I used my accessory as a filter over my camera lens to add color to my photo. No, the accessory did not work like I thought it would. In the tutorial they made it look really easy to use the filter but when I actually tried to use it, there was a lot of trial and error. Two scenarios when I would use this accessory would be for portraits mostly or when taking pictures of other subjects.
